Empower Yourself

To make good decisions about your care with your healthcare team, learn as much as you can about myeloma and its treatments. You can do so by accessing IMF publications here or reaching out to an IMF InfoLine at 1-800-452-CURE (2873) or at [email protected].

It has been proven that informed patients fare better than those who know less about their disease. The IMF offers both information resources and in-person opportunities.

By attending an IMF Patient & Family Seminar or Regional Community Workshop, you will have the opportunity to connect with other patients and share your stories and outcomes. Each event includes a panel of leading myeloma experts, and patients and their families are able to ask questions one-on-one with these experts.

Finally, you may also want to find an IMF-facilitated Support Group in your area.  If one doesn’t exist, the IMF is dedicated to reaching out to underserved communities and helping you begin a support network in your area. Help us help you by contacting us today!

If, 26 years ago, when I was diagnosed with myeloma and given 2-3 years to live, you told me I will be alive almost a quarter of a century later and let alone be fortunate enough to serve my fellow patients, I would have thought it was a pipe dream. But, here I am!
