2020 Marks the International Myeloma Foundation's (IMF) 30th Anniversary
The IMF celebrates 30 years of scientific achievement with multiple myeloma patient care at the heart of it all.
From what started in a garage with a borrowed typewriter, a lawn chair, and lots of hope, The IMF is now the largest organization focusing specifically on multiple myeloma.
This year, as the organization celebrates its 30th anniversary, the IMF's reach extends to more than 525,000 members in 140 countries worldwide. With over 40 clinical trials funded by the IMF's Black Swan Research Initiative®, the IMF continues to push the needle forward toward a cure for multiple myeloma. As IMF President and Founder Susie Durie says, "We are this close to the cure. I can see it on the horizon."
