Durie, MD has always warned: “Be cautious about early laboratory results. No matter how exciting, they just might not apply in the clinic.”

Register Now for a “Living Well with Myeloma” Teleconference on MGUS, Smoldering Myeloma, and Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma

On Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. PST / 7:00 p.m. EST, Dr. Brian G.M. Durie, IMF Chairman of the Board, hosts a “Living Well with Myeloma” teleconference. The focus of the teleconference will be on early disease management, including criteria for diagnosis and best treatment options. Patients are increasingly diagnosed early, and the decisions for initial treatment must be appropriate. In some cases, observation is recommended. With new therapies, many options must be reviewed and considered for patients in each risk group. Each individual’s age and comorbidities should also be considered. Current best treatment guidelines will be presented.
