From August 29, 2024, to September 3, 2024, the International Myeloma Foundation embarked on its Inaugural Iceland Cycling Expedition. We are tremendously grateful to the 11 fundraisers who fearlessly tackled the arduous terrain of Iceland to raise funds to find a cure for multiple myeloma.

Here we list the 2024 ICE fundraisers and the amount they raised for this important cause:

Andy and Laurie Kuzneski raised $30,400.

Nancy Bruno raised $20,010.

Dr. Saad Usmani raised $17,837.

Dr. Cristina Gaparetto raised $17.038.

Thomas Goode raised $16,257.

Leo Dierckman raised $16,235.

Shawn Twigg raised $15,605.

Jered Haddad raised $15,250.

Mark Sievert raised $1,923.

Martina Pesaresi raised $515.

Also accompanying these cyclists were fellow riders IMF Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joesph Mikhael and Dr. Rafat Abonour (Indiana University, Simon Cancer Center — Indianapolis). IMF President & CEO, and myeloma patient Yelak Biru and IMF Vice President of Development Sylvia Dsouza rode along the course in a safety vehicle to provide moral support, needed supplies, and encouragement.

Thanks to these brave individuals kicking off the inaugural event, the IMF will continue the Iceland Cycling Expedition in 2025 and the years to come.
