Alicia is the Education and Outreach Coordinator at GraniteLeaf Cannabis in New Hampshire, where patients certified by a medical provider and holding a therapeutic cannabis card can purchase cannabis products from the dispensary. In this presentation, she will walk us through the basics of therapeutic cannabis and the benefits for cancer patients.

Alicia’s journey with cannabis began during her college years when she was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. While undergoing chemotherapy, she found cannabis to be a helpful aid in managing pain, nausea, and anxiety. Now, as an amputee, cannabis has also played a vital role in managing phantom limb sensations. Her inspiring story was featured in Teen Vogue magazine.

Motivated by her experiences, Alicia developed a deep passion for educating others about cannabis. She now works at GraniteLeaf, where she helps patients better understand cannabis and its benefits. Alicia has also presented on this topic for several years at CancerCon, a national gathering for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors.
