Understanding MGUS and Smoldering Myeloma

Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is the earliest disease state associated with the subsequent development of myeloma, and smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) is an asymptomatic precursor to active disease.
