IMWG immunotherapy committee recommendation on sequencing immunotherapy for treatment of multiple myeloma

Overview

T-cell redirecting therapies (TCRTs), including CAR T-cell therapy and bispecific T-cell engagers (TCEs), are transforming how multiple myeloma (MM) is treated. These innovative therapies target proteins like BCMA and GPRC5D, with several options already approved worldwide and more in development.

As these treatments expand, doctors and patients need guidance on how one immunotherapy might impact the safety and effectiveness of the next. To address this, the International Myeloma Working Group brought together experts to review key factors affecting treatment outcomes and provide recommendations for using these therapies in sequence.

These guidelines aim to help doctors and patients make the best decisions for safe and effective treatment plans.
