Heather Cooper Ortner

President and Chief Executive Officer

Heather Cooper Ortner brings deep institutional knowledge and executive leadership to her role as President & CEO of the International Myeloma Foundation. With longstanding ties to the IMF—including seven years with the organization and prior service as Executive Vice President of Development—she is honored to lead the Foundation into its next chapter.

Ms. Cooper Ortner has a distinguished track record leading mission-driven health organizations. As President & CEO of Alzheimer's Los Angeles, she oversaw all organizational operations, provided strategic oversight of programs and staff, and guided the organization's strategic planning initiatives. Previously, as CEO of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, she directed all organizational activities and led both annual operations and long-term strategic positioning.

Her career in nonprofit leadership also includes serving as Director of Development for The Brandeis-Bardin Institute and Director of the Western Area Development Center for Hadassah, where she honed her expertise in fundraising and organizational growth.M

Ms. Cooper Ortner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
