Dear Members of the Myeloma Community,
As firefighters continue to bravely battle the wildfires across Southern California, myeloma patients and many of our support groups have been impacted by the destruction and devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles County.
The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) understands that this is truly a difficult time. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones and homes, and who are going through challenging times right now. We are here to support you in any way we can.
The IMF is committed to providing ongoing support and would like to extend assistance to all myeloma patients who are based in cities across Los Angeles County.
The recent wildfires have tragically displaced thousands of people, including those who rely on consistent medical care. To assist all myeloma patients who have been affected, the IMF is opening its Studio City headquarters as a temporary shipping location for life-saving medications in Los Angeles County.
All myeloma patients who have been displaced by the wildfires and need assistance to ensure the timely receipt of their medications and treatments may reach out to the IMF by calling 1(818) 487-7455 or by emailing [email protected].
The IMF headquarters is located at 4400 Coldwater Canyon Ave., Suite 300, Studio City, CA 91604.
The IMF is here to help coordinate and provide a secure location to receive your vital treatments during this challenging time. Please contact the IMF for more information and details regarding this matter.
We stand with the community and are committed to supporting the well-being of those impacted by this disaster. If you or a loved one in the Los Angeles area needs assistance, resources, or a listening ear, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are living outside of California, please feel free to relay this important information to family members and friends living with myeloma who are affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
The strength and resilience of the myeloma community inspires us all. We are confident that you will come together to support each other through this crisis, just as you have done in facing the challenges of myeloma.
Please remember that your support group network is a source of strength and comfort. Lean on each other, share your experiences, and offer assistance when possible.
Stay vigilant and keep track of real-time updates in your area. Get real-time information and alerts from these reliable sources: GenAsys Protect and the Watch Duty App. Please be aware of evacuation warnings in your area and quickly respond to evacuation orders for your safety.
We stand with the myeloma community in strength and solidarity. The IMF extends its heartfelt gratitude to the frontliners and firefighters for tirelessly protecting the residents of Los Angeles 24/7 from the wildfires.
Sincerely,
The International Myeloma Foundation
