My name is George, and I lost my dad and a brother to multiple myeloma. My wife, Julia's best friend, is on her 11th year fighting this dreadful disease. So, this year as Julia and I celebrate our 50th anniversary, we decided to help by collaborating with the International Myeloma Foundation.

In 2007, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. At that time, there was only a few drugs approved and those were very taxing on you.

IMF Chairman Dr. Brian G.M. Durie discusses some important new findings from the 2021 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting that took place virtually from June 4-8 this year, and from the subsequent European Hematology Association’s (EHA) annual meeting.

The IMF Virtual Regional Community Workshop will include an introduction to myeloma, upfront treatments at diagnosis, maintenance therapy, relapse

My 70th Birthday year is proving to be an exceptional year for me; a culmination of so many years hopefully to beating multiple myeloma. This celebration is to praise, honor and have fun with family, dear friends, and phenomenal medical professionals with fabulous music, great food, and drinks.

If you like old cars - we will have them there! If you like new muscle cars - come, check them out! If you like tricked out trucks - we will have them there too! The KC and Myeloma Support Group, headed by John and Karen Foster and daughter Casey Modersohn and husband Bryan, sponsor the annual car show to raise public awareness about myeloma and raise money for research, patient education, support and advocacy.
