At 52 years old, Paula Nemet was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. During a routine check-up, her doctor suspected that she had myeloma. A week later, she started treatment. Paula found comfort in her local support group and created lifelong relationships. Her support group leader became a mentor to her and introduced her to her first IMF Patient & Family Seminar. Today, Paula is five years chemo-free, hitting her 40th marriage anniversary and celebrating becoming a great grandmother. Following in her mentors' footsteps, she now leads the Nature Coast, Florida support group and stands as a pillar of the community, educating newcomers and providing guidance.
