Kate: Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us today, Robyn. Could you start by introducing yourself?
Robyn: Yes. My name is Robyn Osborn.
Kate: What inspired you to come out today?
Robyn: Well, I had heard that the IMF conferences were very good. It's the first one I've been to. So that's why I just came to hear the speakers.
Kate: For sure. And how has the myeloma community supported you in your journey?
Robyn: I found it very supportive. I found another organization called Healthtree Foundation online and have gotten involved with them, and they've been very supportive and IMF as well. It's just really helped to find people that are experiencing similar things.
Kate: That's awesome. And what message would you share with others living with myeloma?
Robyn: That that it's not a death sentence so far. That sounds horrible. But that, there are a lot of resources available and always search for credible resources online, not just Doctor Google. So, to really make sure that the resources you're finding are credible.
Kate: For sure. And you mentioned this is your first time at an event like this. Any plans to continue to go to them in the future?
Robyn: Absolutely. Yeah.
Kate: For sure.
Robyn: I have participated in some of their webinars online, which I found very helpful. So that was one of the reasons that I wanted to come to the in-person event.
Kate: That's awesome. And what gives you strength on hard days?
Robyn: Knowing that it's probably just temporary.
Kate: For sure. That's an awesome answer. Is there anything else that you would like to touch on that you feel that I've missed today?
Robyn: I think I would just say that as patients, it's important that we advocate for ourselves. If we're seeing a provider, a care provider that maybe we're not real comfortable with, looking for someone else that you can connect with and that, again, just don't take what a provider says is, you know, this is what you have to do. If you're not comfortable with it or even if you are, just make sure that you're advocating for yourself.
Kate: For sure. Thank you so much for taking the time today, Robyn.
Robyn: Oh, you're very welcome.
