“The Misfits” welcome patients at any stage in their Myeloma journey, as well as their family members and care partners. It DOES take a village and we’re here to help expand that village for the Myeloma warriors in our area.

We’re not your average support group! We look forward to sharing the good, the bad, the ugly, and yes… even the funny moments that come with this journey. You won’t want to miss these conversations!

What Is Multiple Myeloma?
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. It is synonymous with "myeloma" and "plasma cell myeloma." Plasma cells make antibodies against infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria. A cancerous or malignant plasma cell is called a myeloma cell. Myeloma is called “multiple” because there are frequently multiple patches or areas in bone marrow where it grows.
