We meet virtually most months at 6:00PM Pacific with quarterly in-person meetings at the Hoag Cancer Center in Irvine.

QUAIL HILL TRAILHEAD IN IRVINE on SATURDAY MARCH 21ST
FELLOW MYELOMA PATIENTS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY CAME TOGETHER WITH LOVE, SUPPORT AND HOPE….
THE OC SUPPORT GROUP TEAM “THE CELLMATES” WAS THE NUMBER ONE TEAM WITH $9,000 RAISED (so far) FOR THE IMF FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW
AS THEY SAY IN SPORTS, IT'S A 3 PEAT!!

What Is Multiple Myeloma?
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. It is synonymous with "myeloma" and "plasma cell myeloma." Plasma cells make antibodies against infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria. A cancerous or malignant plasma cell is called a myeloma cell. Myeloma is called “multiple” because there are frequently multiple patches or areas in bone marrow where it grows.
