Northwest Arkansas Multiple Myeloma Support Group Leader receiving an award at the International Myeloma Foundation's 25th Anniversary Support Group Leaders Summit on September 14, 2024 in recognition of the dedication and resilience of the group celebrating six years supporting their myeloma coMMunity.
Multiple Myeloma is cancer of the Bone Marrow. More specifically, it is an uncontrolled growth of plasma cells. Although there is no known cure, there are many approaches to help myeloma patients live better and longer. As a result, people with myeloma can sometimes live for many years. There remains much controversy about how to treat the disease. Education and support are key.
If you are living with Multiple Myeloma, you need not be alone. You'll find others in the Northwest Arkansas area whose experience can be a source of strength, hope, and inspiration. If you are a caregiver or caring friend, your needs will be addressed with programs sensitive to your particular needs.
