DREAMM-7: BVd vs DVd in Relapsed Refractory Multiple Myeloma - Phase 3 Survival & Efficacy Update (https://www.myeloma.org/videos/dreamm-7-bvd-vs-dvd-relapsed-refractory-multiple-myeloma-phase-3-survival-efficacy-update)
The DREAMM-7 study (NCT04246047) compared the efficacy and safety of belantamab mafodotin (BVd) versus daratumumab (DVd) in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (MM) patients who had received at least one prior line of therapy. BVd demonstrated superior progression-free survival (PFS) with a median of 36.6 months compared to 13.4 months for DVd. BVd also exhibited higher rates of complete response or better and minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity, along with a longer median duration of response (DOR) of 35.6 months versus 17.8 months with DVd.
Key Points:
- BVd significantly extended median PFS compared to DVd in relapsed/refractory MM.
- BVd demonstrated higher rates of complete response and MRD negativity.
- BVd showed a longer median duration of response compared to DVd.
- Early data suggests a potential overall survival (OS) benefit with BVd, with updated results anticipated to influence clinical practice.
