If 10 people would donate just $10 and then send a challenge to their family and friends to donate $10 and then they ask their family and friends to donate $10, and so on, those funds would be used for the IMF to develop that cure. Please join our challenge!
I decided to partner with the International Myeloma Foundation to fulfill Lilly’s legacy. She is one of thousands of people affected by this cancer that as of yet has no cure. My goal is to raise enough funds to help earn a $50,000 Brian D. Novis Research Grant for a researcher working tirelessly on a cure for this disease. Every $50,000 raised will help fund myeloma research grants.
This event has been postponed. As you know, myeloma patients are especially susceptible to viruses because of their immune systems. Please check back for a new future date. Thank you for your anticipated continued support.
Once again, the IMF is hosting a raffle for you to win a 10-day stay at the Villa Ono Oasis in historic Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Raffle tickets are only $50 to win this luxurious vacation. Only 1000 raffle tickets will be sold. Your vacation will be set according to your schedule and the owners of the destination.
This year, the owner of Dulles Golf Center & Sports Park wanted to give back to his old friend Benson Klein. A $100 donation to the IMF entitles you to a Fun Day Certificate which has a $140 value. A Fun Day Certificate makes it so that an entire family can come out and support the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF). With spring approaching, you can now enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf course, batting cages, a golf driving range with automatic self-loading tee stations, and gemstone panning.
I am looking forward to exploring the Midwest and Canada this summer. Last year I was three weeks from beginning this same tour when I crashed. I'll be starting at the Kansas City Multiple Myeloma Support Group and riding about 400 miles along the KATY rails-to-trails to the St Louis meeting. If all goes well, the patients and caregivers will see me in late May and early June. After these meetings I will head off towards Michigan, New York, and Canada. I have an invitation still open to show up at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York in late June. This is my excuse to visit family and ride the historic Erie Canal trail between Niagara Falls and Albany, New York. Look for me on a road near you from May until September. I look forward to getting back on the long road again sooner than later.
Funny Women of a Certain Age is a show straight from unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the most funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women that have seen it all.
The KC and Myeloma Support Group, headed by John and Karen Foster and daughter Casey Modersohn and husband Bryan, sponsor the annual car show to raise public awareness about myeloma and raise money for research, patient education, support and advocacy. Kansas City area myeloma patients have benefited from all the support and education the IMF provides. This is our chance to give back to this wonderful organization and ensure they can continue help more patients in the future.
