We Can All Be Warriors

Ron Hood draws strength from being a Myeloma Warrior. At the 2018 Brian D. Novis Research Grant Awards reception, a night filled with hope held annually during the American Society of Hematology meeting, Ron movingly described his experiences living with the disease and the ways in which the IMF has supported him along the way. As Ron says, “When our health fails us, that’s a challenge, but it also provides us with one of those important opportunities to show that we can be Warriors together.” Read a transcript of his speech now, and see how Ron is an inspiration for us all.

On Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. PST / 7:00 p.m. EST, Dr. Brian G.M. Durie, IMF Chairman of the Board, hosts a “Living Well with Myeloma” teleconference. The focus of the teleconference will be on early disease management, including criteria for diagnosis and best treatment options. Patients are increasingly diagnosed early and must be certain if decisive first therapy is appropriate or if observation is recommended.
