	Laughter Helps Fuel IMF Myeloma Research Whoever coined the phrase “laughter is the best medicine” must have had Saturday night’s 11th Annual Comedy Celebration in mind. “The generous donors who participate in this annual event have made a tremendous impact on myeloma research, and we are beginning to see results,” says IMF Chairman Dr. Brian Durie. 	Phase III ARROW Trial of Kyprolis Shows More Effective Dosing Schedule The randomized, open-label, phase III ARROW trial tested the dosing schedule of Kyprolis® (carfilzomib) in patients with relapsed and refractory myeloma. The trial studied the use of Kyprolis in combination with dexamethasone dosed once-weekly, compared to the use of the same combination dosed twice-weekly. The ARROW trial showed that once-weekly dosing of Kyprolis with dexamethasone, led to an additional 3.6 months of progression-free survival.
