Immunotherapy is treatment that engages the patient’s own immune system to attack their myeloma. Currently, there are three types of immunotherapies approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of myeloma: monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies.
