Winner of Quilt of Courage Raffle Announced

While visiting her dear friend in Washington state, who was fighting another form of cancer, myeloma patient Brenda Riggs made a quilt she called “Courage.” Brenda Riggs’ myeloma has been kept at bay after three stem cell transplants. She hopes to raise funds by raffling her quilts, that will help researchers come closer to finding a cure. Pictured is Brenda pulling the winning raffle ticket for the Quilt of Courage, which went to Jane Marks of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Thanks to Brenda’s hard work and efforts, $1,814 was raised!

Has Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) testing been approved by the FDA yet?

In this week’s video, Dr. Brian GM Durie explains that the FDA will soon consider MRD-testing as a surrogate endpoint for both newly diagnosed and relapsed myeloma patients.
