Quilt of Courage

Quilt of Courage

“Courage” is a quilt I made while visiting my dear friend Kay Wade in Washington State for her “Celebration of Life” in 2015. Although she had another form of cancer, she was courageous and fought every day for just one more day until God called her home. Cancer survivors are a rare breed no matter what form of cancer we may have. We have to have courage to be able to fight and perservere through all of the tests, treatments, biopsies, drug affects, and trail therapies. Multiple myeloma is determined and relentless and comes back with a vengeance. With your help, they are getting closer and closer to a cure. They are on the edge of it and I’m proof. I had my 3rd Stem Cell Transplant in August 2010 and I have been blessed with being cancer free ever since then.  In August 2015, I raffled “Many Blooms of Life” quilt raising more than $900 for the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF). I’m hoping to raise over $1,500 from “Courage.”
