The IMF is saddened to share that IMF Board Member and longtime philanthropist John O’Dwyer passed away on April 27, 2025, after living with multiple myeloma for 18 years. John O’Dwyer didn’t just support myeloma research—he helped shape it. From the moment of his diagnosis, John and his wife Dorothy became embedded in the myeloma community. His commitment, leadership, and generosity fueled major IMF initiatives, including the launch of the Black Swan Research Initiative® and the award-winning Iceland Cycling Expedition documentary.
